New Young Pony Club cover PJ Harvey at Isle of Wight

New Young Pony Club got the crowd at the Big Top stage dancing at the Isle Of Wight Festival earlier tonight (June 15) with a dazzling set which included a cover of PJ Harvey's 'Dress'.

Despite worrying about having to go on at the same time as The Police, who were on the main stage at the same time as the band, New Young Pony Club attracted a reasonable crowd.

"Us against one of the biggest bands in the history of the universe?" singer Tahita Bulmer had earlier considered, speaking to NME.COM. "Ah, we'll hold our own."

As well as their own songs 'Ice Cream', 'Tight Fit' and 'The Bomb', the band played glam-pop covers of the aforementioned 'Dress' and Squeeze's 'Take Me I'm Yours'.

Bulmer also told NME.COM that sessions for her band's forthcoming new album were going well, with songs sounding "heavy on white noise. A bit like My Bloody Valentine."

Sienna Miller - Miller Hinted At Ifans Split Weeks Ago

British actress SIENNA MILLER hinted that a split between her and ex-fiance RHYS IFANS was possible - weeks before reports claimed they had separated.

The couple is alleged to have parted ways earlier this month (Jun08), with Miller reportedly dumping Notting Hill actor Ifans by phone.

But the Alfie star revealed she wasn't ready to settle down while recently promoting forthcoming film GI Joe.

In an interview with Britain's Telegraph Magazine, which was published on Sunday (08Jun08), Miller appears to cast doubt over the future of her relationship with Ifans.

She says, "When it comes to settling down, I chop and change.

"I really thought I was ready for it, and then I realised that I wanted to be selfish for a little bit longer. I'm full of curiosity. I know that as soon as I have a child it will probably be everything, and I don't want to regret not doing more.

"I'll always work, I hope, but I want to have the freedom to go to India tomorrow for three months, like Tarka (Cordell, her writer friend) did.

"The press will say, 'She doesn't love Rhys' and 'She's selfish!', but I'm 26 and I have time and when it's right it will happen."

One of the many bands involving multi-instrumentalist Carl-Michael Elde, Norway's Ved Buens Ende (whose describe around translates to "beyond the obeisance" or "beyond the rainbow") were an experimental black alloy band whose reasoned cadaver heavily distinct and strange days after their last recording. Their elan blended aspects of supposed post-rock (especially in footing of the guitar playacting) together with eerie crooning vocals and jazz-influenced drumming and bass part playing, resulting in a reasoned that was as much low-key and mysterious as it was aggressive or emphatic. Those Who Caress the Pale was later released in 1997 with a couple of fillip tracks added on. However, despite rumors circulating in the later '90s that the group would get endorse in concert to record some other album, zilch of all time materialized (perchance because the musicians were so interfering with their other projects). By the early 2000s, Elde had proclaimed the geological formation of a unexampled band, Virus, which he aforesaid would mark a continuation of his work with Ved Buens Ende.

Gary Dourdan - Felony Charges For Csi Star After Drug Possession Arrest

Actor Gary Dourdan has been charged with felony drug possession after being found with heroin, cocaine and ecstasy last month.

The CSI star was arrested in Palm Springs, California on April 28th after being discovered asleep at the wheel of a parked car and was detained when officers found the three narcotics.

He is due to appear in court on May 28th, Riverside County prosecutors have confirmed.

"If convicted, Dourdan faces a probation term and could be required to complete a drug treatment program," Michael Jeandron, a representative for the Riverside County District Attorney told People magazine.

"If he completes it, the charges will be dismissed."

The 41-year-old actor said this week he was "obviously... embarrassed" at the arrest.

"I am profoundly grateful to everyone for their support," he added in a statement.

Having made his name in Cosby Show spin-off A Different World, Dourdan won the part of forensics expert Warrick Brown on CSI, CBS' Emmy-award winning crime show.

His character is scheduled to leave the show at the end of the eighth season.

The Philadelphia native dated British model and TV presenter Lisa Snowdon following her split from George Clooney.

A classifiable, schoolgirlish voice, nipping, impeccable delivery, and an irrepressible sense of playful swing made Blossom Dearie one of the almost gratifying singers of the outspoken era. Her warmheartedness and froth ensured that she'd ne'er treat standards as the hackneyed songs they frequently appeared in less capable manpower. And though her report was made on record with a string of splendid albums for Verve during the '50s, she remained a draw with Manhattan floor show audiences long into the new millennium.
